The Old Franklin Schoolhouse and its Transformations Gallery will be open to the public twice a week during July and August for a combination of food-bank donation drop-offs and gallery viewing, in addition to weekly events.
July 13: Up All Night/A Paul Night — music of Paul Simon and Paul Mc- Cartney; free
July 20: Mr. Ray performs a benefit concert for Breaking the Chain, a local organization fighting childhood slavery in Ghana; $15
July 26: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” staged radio play; $10
July 27: Screening of “Bully” and discussion by John Wilkey
Aug. 3: “The Great Gatsby” staged radio play and cocktail hour to benefit the Friends of the Metuchen Library
Aug. 10-11: DeadFest Weekend, Food Bank Collection — live cover music, swaps and tie-dye
Aug. 17: Acoustic 80s with Sharon Goldman and Friends
Aug. 24: “Raiders of the Lost Ark” staged radio play; $10
